You can also try disconnecting the internal drives one at a time and restarting the PC after each disconnection to determine whether one of the drives is causing the problem. You can always reset it if it doesn't help. Is the monitor on (and plugged in)? When I opened X-Plane and Plane-Maker, I saw some major screen flickering. I suspect it is some kind of windows software problem, but I don't have enough knowledge or expertise to figure it out, which is why I am posting here.
