When I say "linux", I'm being lazy and I do mean "*NIX/UNIX based operating systems". When I clicked DETAILS from the win recover dialog from the repair disk, it suggested that I was probably trying to put the drive image on to a non system disk. At the Partition or Disk to Restore step of Restore Data Wizard do not select and entire disk.
