The chip maker's latest patch for its GeForce line of graphics processing units (GPUs) is causing errors for a number of people, according to complaints on forums and social media. Nvidia Driver Blue Screen 2016 reinstalling windows did not resolve the issue. Will post update as soon as I hear from them I have a single drive which is HDD. Once I did that I was able to get into the OS and revert to previous drivers.
It wasn't lost its still on my harddrive and appears to be working but it was removed from the controll panel installed programs things. Nvidia Driver Crashing Windows 7 GTX770 (I feel old!) Windows 8.1. Rolling back to the previous driver fixed the problem. I was on the most recent drivers with my EVGA 980ti.

Someone told me the windows isn't booting because I had both drivers connected when I installed windows. http://harryhooie.com/blue-screen/blue-screen-help-me-please.html If you're getting pixelation on the nVidia screen (inside of Windows I'm assuming) then it could potentially be a defective card that is refusing to hold onto the drivers. I tried reinstalling windows after a couple of attempts to uninstall driver and install older version and that didn't work. Just reverted back to last driver which has 0 problems. i3-4170, GTX 970, Windows 8.1, single-monitor. I tried stopping it from installing after all else failed, but it does it either without telling me in a popup or won't let me stop it.
